Baby on the move...

Now I know babies are busy little things, but I was surprised to find Sophia on her tummy when just a few moments earlier I had put her on her back. She has this play center that she absolutely loves. So when I have to get some things done around the house, I lay her on this mat with toys that hang above her so she can grab them and be stimulated during play time.
Well, I had to go do some laundry so I put her in there on her back. She was as content as could be, but then about 5 minutes later she got a little quiet, so when I went to check on her, low and behold, she was no longer on her back, but she had rolled from her back to her stomach. She looked so proud of herself and so content that I let her continue to play on her stomach for a while.
She never ceases to amaze me. Every accomplishment of hers, I want to scream from the rooftops. I am so proud of her and all she is learning. Watching her grow and change is an amazing and priceless experience and I feel so blessed to have this little angel in my presence.

Our Little Ray of Sunshine

Our little Sophia is growing so fast. At the age of four months she is already so active and alert. She now rolls over from tummy to back, has discovered her feet, and tries with all her might to communicate her thoughts to us. We are enjoying this age so much and love seeing her eyes light up when she recognizes us or hear her squeal in delight when she's teasing us with her many adorable little faces. She is growing so big so fast, that every time I go to put an outfit on her, it's already too small. I'm constantly filtering out clothes that don't fit her anymore.
She will be going back for her second doctor appointment soon, so we get to find out how much she weighs and how long she is. We are also going to introduce rice cereal because breast milk just doesn't seem to fill her up anymore. With how she loves her vitamins, I'm almost certain she'll love cereal just as much. I think she just is one of those babies that has a healthy appetite and will eat pretty much anything.
At four months, we have yet to get her into her own bed, partially due to the fact that I nurse her to bed (kind of a bad habit), and also because I love snuggling with her. However, our queen size bed is not big enough for the three of us and I find myself trying not to fall off the edge of the bed at times in the middle of the night. Our goal is by six months to have her sleeping in her own bed.
We are anticipating the many new "firsts" we are going to experience in the coming weeks and love her more and more every day.
