Playdate at the Park...

I'm thrilled to announce Tuesday play group has started up again and some new mommas have joined! This Tuesday because of the unusually warm September weather, we decided to meet at the park. Despite the humidity, the kids had a blast playing on the swings, slides and the bridge and us mom's had a nice time visiting with each other. Though it was busy and kids were going in every direction, I wanted to try to capture a few photos of our playgroup. I enjoy the playgroup and the moms in it so much and can't wait for the many more to come!

A Creative Whim...

As most of you know I love to create! I am the type of person that if I don't create I feel like I'm going to explode! Since Sophia has her name in letters hanging in her bedroom, I only thought it appropriate to make something that spelled out "Peyton" in Peyton's room. So I found a canvas I have had in my closet for probably two years and decided to use that to paint a sign. After a little thought and planning, this is the sign I came up with. I was going for a "shabby-chic" type of look. The "P" and the bumble bee are wood and then I painted the rest of her name in white on chocolate brown that I had already painted. I'm also going to add some cute ribbon to the top to hang it from. Free art-gotta love it:)
