Missin' my Other Fam...

(My Dad and Peyton hangin' out together)

It has grown increasingly harder not working for my parents, only because I do not get to see their lovely faces everyday like I used to. I am really close with both my mom and my dad and talk to them about EVERYTHING! Though I love being a stay at home mom and getting to do fun activities and experience those "firsts" with Peyton, that I unfortunately was unable to experience with Sophia, I miss my family! My parents are my strength and support and not having them right there to vent, offer advice or just give me a hug when I need it, is still a part of life that I'm trying to adjust to. Even though it's not like they live in a different state, the 40 minute drive still keeps me from just popping over there to visit as much as I like. And due to gas money and traffic, we are lucky to see them once a week. I know Sophia misses "Grandma Teresa" and "Grandpa Dean" (as she calls them), and Peyton doesn't spend half as much time with them as Sophia had at this age. It makes me really sad sometimes that they live that far away, however, it was our decision to move closer to Jeff's work. We used to live in Sandy and live 5 minutes from my parents, and some days I wish we still did. But on a positive note it makes me really appreciate and savor every minute that I get to spend with them when we are out at their place. The other day we drove out to visit them and my dad took my car to get washed and then filled it up with gas too. On top of that, they also bought a bunch of new fall clothes for the girls. They are constantly blessing us and the girls and I am so lucky to have such amazing parents! They are angels and I feel so lucky to call them "mom" and "dad"!
