Furry Little Friends...

Sunday we spent the day out at my parents house in Sandy. They live on 36 beautiful acres and up until now their only pets were 2 yellow Labs and 2 Yorkie-Poo's. Well, they decided with all the land they have, they could afford to get a few more pets. So they went to Geren's, a nearby pet supply store and bought 5 little baby chicks to produce fresh eggs. When I told Sophia, she couldn't wait to see them! She wanted to hold them all and give them each kisses. It was so sweet! Because baby chickens aren't the cleanest animal, we didn't let her hold them and tried like crazy to keep her from kissing them, though she snuck in a few anyways. She did get to pet them gently and kept talking to them. It was hilarious, because she would get really close to their face and in a high-pitched, excited squeal say, "hi baby chick!" They each picked out their own and named them and I guess they all have their own little personalities. My mom's chicken looks like it has little angel wings and my dad named his "Americano" after his favorite coffee drink. The baby chickens are pretty cute I must admit, however, I'm glad they are out at my parents so Sophia can go visit them and I don't have to take care of them:)
